Julia Rhea, ChFC

Financial Advisor

Julia started in this industry over 30 years ago, helping individuals in governmental agencies and non-profit organizations make good decisions about their retirement accounts and save enough to get them to, and through, retirement. This work involved a lot of collaboration with retirement plan sponsors and a "boots on the ground" approach of getting in front of people one-on-one. She realized it was so important to continue expanding her services into comprehensive financial planning; today, she focuses on this first and foremost.

Julia has over 30 years of experience in financial services, beginning her career at Voya. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Services from San Diego State University and holds Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as a California Life and Health insurance license. Julia also holds a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) professional designation from The American College.

Julia is a spreadsheet enthusiast, but knows her clients don’t want to get lost in the weeds in the planning. So, she takes the complicated calculations, evaluations, and planning responsibilities and simplifies them for real people. Her associate, Dominic, joined in 2018, and as a team they believe in treating clients like family. Julia’s father, who formed many of the original relationships in our practice, still comes in to manage the mail and keep us focused on what is most important – relationships and first-class service. When she’s not serving clients, Julia is a volleyball player, a lover of cats and dogs (yes, you can do both), and a baker.
